Wednesday Night Performances 2012

For the 2012 season, the Activity Department has put together an outstanding entertainment series! All seats are reserved and sold a package of 12 shows until December 31st, at which point you may purchase individual shows. Call the Activity Office at (520) 574-6100 to purchase.

The cost of the package of 12 performances is $136, $160 or $184 depending on the level of seating you choose. The individual shows’ pricing ranges from $10 to $24.

This is a tribute in song to 100 years of women blues singers with a great mix of sass, sentimentality and humor.

February 1st
Bronn & Katherine Journey
Playing everything from classics to Broadway on the harp, Bronn delivers a widely varied repertoire with wit and humor while Katherine joins him in glorious song.

March 7th
Southwest Surfers
The Southwest Surfers are a top notch Beach Boys tribute band. The band’s great 5-part harmony and surf guitar licks will keep everyone foot tappin’, clappin’ and singing along to all the Beach Boys favorites.

January 11th
Frank Sinatra Tribute
A stylish tribute to the chairman of the board featuring Guy Pennacchio and his band. This tribute to Frank Sinatra is a wonderful show that pays homage to one of the greatest singers of all time.

February 8th
ABBA - Fab
ABBA-Fab is the closest
re-creation to an original ABBA concert that you will ever see—from the stunningly accurate vocals of Anne Davies and Chelsea Faulds to an amazing 8-piece band led by Terry Davies.

March 14th
“How Great Thou Art”
Robert Shaw brings the gospel music of Elvis with his 12-piece band and a gospel quartet to perform inspirational hits such as Amazing Grace and How Great Thou Art.

January 18th
Open Range
“Music that captures the spirit of the West.” Ric Steinke and Linda Hausler weave a musical blend of tight vocal harmonies and outstanding instrumentation.

February 15th
The Manhattan Dolls
Presented by Robert Shaw… from New York City, these ladies are a jazz/swing vocal trio in the style of The Andrew Sisters with a sound all their own.

March 21st
Three International Tenors
Paying tribute to some of the finest music in the world; Opera, Musical Theater and Pop Opera. Geno Toc, Guillermo Ontiveros and Dino De Luca will leave you breathless!

Bill Haley’s Original Comets
Said to be the FIRST BAND of rock ‘n’ roll. These musicians provided the musical foundation for singer Bill Haley from 1949 through the key years of their musical journey together as rock ‘n’ roll pioneers.

February 29th
Toni Morrell
British-born Toni Morrell has achieved international recognition as a Singer-Comedienne-Actor-Entertainer and Voice Artist.

March 28th
Bernie & Red
A fresh, original, funny and very entertaining husband and wife team whose musical and comedic style have been said to be a mixture of Burns & Allen, The Smothers Brothers and Bette Midler with a touch of Carol Burnett.
